October 16, Tuesday, 12:00 - 1:00, at the Oakland Federal Building, 1301 Clay Street, anti-war activists join in the "Living Graveyard."

Covered with white sheets, participants lie on the city sidewalk, far enough apart to allow for pedestrian and wheelchair traffic.

We read the names of the dead of this war, sounding a gong at intervals. This is legal street theater to make visible the reality of the deaths caused by the war, representing the true human cost of the Iraq War -- the U.S. and allied dead and the untold thousands of Iraqis who have died in the conflict.
