Reports, Updates, Comments
A portion of our Iraq Moratorium group in Pasadena held a large banner on Lake Street at the 210 freeway that said: "Bring the Troops Home NOW! Stop Funding the War!" We got a lot of honks of support and thumbs up from passing cars. We also held other signs: "Iraq war costs $7.4 million per hour!", and "Save our economy, cut the war budget" (not shown in this photo)in response to our economy slipping into a recession, in large part, because of the huge amounts of money wasted on the war. In the photo are, from left to right: Steve Fischer, landscape contractor; Kitty Kroger, retired school librarian; Angelique Bunn, a city bus driver whose brother is in Iraq; Carol Crouse, retired teacher; and Ray Elizondo, former paratrooper and author of "The Last Pachuco."
