Friday, May 16, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Jackson – Vigil for Peace – The ninth monthly vigil for peace in Iraq will take place at the corner of Highways 88 and 46 by City Hall in Jackson. These vigils are held on the third Friday of each month at the same time and the same place as part of the Iraq Moratorium, a nationwide movement. For more information, click Contact.

This year-long monthly vigil has ranged from 10 to 30 people. It started as a candlelight vigil but then we switched to "rush hour" (it's a small town!) so we would get more visibility.
