Local author joins Iraq Moratorium event in Pasadena.
Ray Elizondo (holding one end of the banner,) a former Paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division of the US Army, and author of The Last Pachuco, joined the Pasadena Iraq Moratorium on Lake Ave. at the 210 freeway on Friday, May 16 to protest the continuing war and occupation of Iraq. Participants applauded the House of Representatives for voting on May 15 to stop funding the war, and urged passersby to call California Senator Dianne Feinstein to do the same thing in the Senate. Several passersby joined the group for five to ten minutes each, and many motorists honked in support.
